This recipe sounds quite simple due to its only 4, -in our case 5 ingredients, but it requires careful workmanship to make this cake successful. Similar to a traditional souffle, the cake should not be disturbed during the baking process, which means the oven door should remain closed to avoid temperature fluctuations and shocks, otherwise the cake will collapse. We infused our version with 150mg of THC hemp oil. The base hemp oil used fits perfectly with the taste of the matcha and white chocolate combination.
Ingredients for 4 people
- 3 eggs
- 120 gr. white chocolate
- 120 gr. cream cheese heavy cream
- 2 tsp. matcha tea powder
- 150mg THC hemp oil
The baking pan used should be 15cm in diameter and have high sides.
Preparing, the eggs are separated, the egg whites are beaten until stiff and put in the fridge. The oven is preheated to 170°c. Then prepare a strip of baking paper about 20cm high and 50cm long and grease one side thoroughly. This side will later face inward and is to prevent the dough from cracking when it moves during baking.
Now completely melt the white chocolate in a metal bowl on the water bath, remove from heat and stir together with the cream cheese, the matcha and infused hemp oil until smooth. Then add the three egg yolks and also stir well until the mixture is homogeneous. Then carefully fold in one third of the beaten egg whites and slowly mix well. Repeat the same with the other two thirds of the beaten egg whites, one after the other.
Cover the bottom of the baking pan with a suitable circle cut out of baking paper.Place the greased strip on the side of the pan. Now pour the batter mixture into the mold and tap it a few times on the work surface to let any air bubbles escape. The baking pan is now placed on a high baking tray and the latter is filled with hot water. The dough is now baked in three phases: 15 minutes at 170 degrees Celsius, 15 minutes at 160 degrees Celsius, then the heating is turned off completely and baked for another 15 minutes in the residual heat.
The cake is then removed from the oven and left to cool on a wire rack.
Usually the pastry is spread with jam or just dusted with powdered sugar for serving.
